Solaroller CompetitionCompetition in solaroller was intense! Let us start with Shapour Shahidi’s solaroller Sprit. A rolling piece of art, it completed the course in 45.8 seconds. Very fast, indeed. Kyle Simons returned with Lego Beast. Until this year, it was the reigning champion of both the Eastern and Western Canadian Robot Games. Lego Beast put in an impressive time of 11.35 seconds. Too fast, but not quite enough to keep the title. The new champion of solaroller is Richard Allix of Robowars. His Disk Drive completes the course in a jaw dropping 2.51 seconds. They had to use two judges, one to say go and another to stop the clock! |
