Abcore Turbot VideosYou can see our Abcore Turbot in these two videos. This has two independent Adaptive Bicore Biomech motor controllers (Abcores). As you can see in the first video, these give the Turbot a unique haptic response. Using nothing more than motor load, the robot senses my arm and reverses the flagellum in a split second. abcore-137.mov (5.7 MB) When the flagella are out of sync, the Abcore Turbot turns in place. This condition puts extra load on the motors. After a few tumbles, one of the Abcores senses the extra load and reverses. The flagella fall into sync.
